Whether it takes place at an intimate theater, a sold out stadium, or over multiple acres, your live event venue can’t succeed without a comprehensive IT infrastructure in place to handle the technology demands of all the moving parts. From attendees to talent, stage to security, and vendors to presenters, everyone is expecting a more robust and reliable network in place to support their needs.  Join Greg Green of Backstage Networks as he breaks down the benefits of having consistent enterprise-grade IT and professional onsite support at live events of all sizes.

Speakers:

Greg Green, Director of Event IT, Backstage Networks

9:50-10:20 AM: Networking & Coffee Break

10:25-11:20 AM: Behind the Scenes – IT Strategies for Production Support

Getting IT right in the dynamic environments of a live event is much more challenging than in a 9-5 company. Issues need to be resolved in minutes, not hours. There are constant moves, additions and changes, often at a moments notice. Expectations and stress levels are high, and everyone knows the show must go on. We’ll take an inside look at the common difficulties faced by producers when it comes to IT needs, how best to determine and justify the appropriate level of IT on the production budget, the increased importance of technology and communications with regard to security and crowd management, and explore the converged future of Stage/AV/Data Technology.
