FestX Awards 2017

What are the Everfest-XLIVE Awards?

The first annual Everfest-XLIVE Awards will honor innovators in the festival space, celebrate festival producers and their peers, and most importantly, reward incredible accomplishments.

To bring the festival production industry together to learn and celebrate the culture built and sustained by our peers. We aim to reward the visionaries, the people who make these shared visions a reality.

By drawing attention to creative progress, we believe other festival producers and attendees will find inspiration to build on their agendas for the year ahead. By drawing attention to these resources and experiences, energy will spread to other producers committed to progress and bold creativity.

2017 FestX Awards

Our Mission

Festivals are outstanding entertainment. We know this, you know this, the world knows this. More than just a great party, festivals are a microcosm of our world at large. Festivals are the perfect place for experimentation and innovation in the name of entertainment. Building year-round communities, delighting all five of our senses, and creating inclusive spaces – festivals are the most well-equipped events to enable those experiences. Where tens of thousands of people gather, shared visions develop. What happens over the course of a festival does not have to end there.

In all corners of the festival world, groundbreakers and tastemakers create events that break new ground every year. XLIVE and Everfest will unite the festival industry to honor innovators, celebrate festival producers and their peers, and most importantly: to reward incredible accomplishments.

The 13 categories of the FestX Awards were decided by a combination of judging panel and public vote.

57 festival finalists were selected after a monthlong public online submission period. From film to food to rock festivals, the finalists span nearly every size, vibe and genre.

For this first open submission period, more than 100 global festival industry insiders submitted entries for consideration. And the turnout truly was global. The FestX Awards received entries from 4 continents, 13 countries and 18 states. California leads the way in the US with 10 finalists; Texas, Arizona, Florida, New York, and Louisiana are represented too.

Vive Latino’s “Fan-Favorite Festival” category victory is the result of more than 5,000 online votes.

Winners will be celebrated during the XLIVE Conference held at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Las Vegas on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.
