Louise Glasgow, Executive Producer, Maker Faire, an award-winning event which focuses on education within the DIY movement, celebrating art, craft, sustainability, engineering, science & technology. Integral to the conception of Maker Faire, Louise has successfully collaborated with many artists, makers and talent to realize the success of Maker Faire which has tremendous year over year growth. This amazing community event has grown internationally to over 48 countries and 221 events in the past 12 years with a total 1.58 M attendees projected for 2017.
With over 32 years of production experience, Louise has been instrumental to the success of a vast array of projects to include Maker Faire, Creative Director for Sportsmark at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, Logistics Producer for the Int’l Conference on AIDS, inaugural producer for Dwell on Design, SunNetwork. Line producer for ESPN’s MLBPA Player’s Choice Awards & Big League Challenge and Producer for Oracle’s 2000 iDevelop World Tour that represents a show 22 countries in 26 weeks. Louise has produced creative festivals and events in over 24 international and 32 domestic locations and prides herself on creating self-directed teams that produce amazing events.
Louise believes that developing solid partnerships with crew, vendors, venue partners, cities & governmental agencies is key to building a community that fosters the events growth and is important for the success of any event.
